Read below for more fun facts with Coach Kyle!

Explain your background and why you got into the fitness industry.

I have been training and weightlifting since I was 13 years old, preparing for high school football. The day I started I knew there was something powerful behind fitness. One of my defensive coaches got me into programming for the entire team and to this day I still use programming much like he taught me.

What are you most passionate about in fitness and health?

I am most passionate about the preparation for sport aspect of fitness. It is always a great feeling to program for someone extremely devoted to their sport and to see them completely blow their competition out of the water. Preparing for competition was my favorite part of any sport and I think that is why I get such a rewarding feeling helping others reach their goals.

What is the most rewarding part of your job? Why?

The most rewarding part of my job is teaching people about their bodies and how to move effectively without injuring themselves. “We” take every little movement for granted and skate through life unless something injures us, but if we focus on proper movement and making sure we can do all of the functional things right then we will be more prepared for what comes our way.

How are you active in your own life? What motivates you?

I am a lifelong athlete! I have played rugby for 10 years and although I am not currently playing because of school, I am training as if I was going to step on the pitch tomorrow. Competition motivates me. I really need an end goal to train for. Right now I am focused on getting as strong as I can to participate in a couple of Highland Games around the area (throwing telephone poles).

What are some of your short and long-term goals? Do you have additional aspirations outside of your fitness career?

In terms of short term goals, I would like to maintain my fitness and strength through school. As for long term goals, I would like to get back into elite athlete figure and play rugby again. Outside of my fitness career, I would like to start a Chiropractic practice and become the best Sports Chiropractor I can be. I have my eyes set on World Games and national level rugby for a future practice.

What amazes you most about the human body?

Everything about the human body is amazing! From fascia to the metabolic processes that keep us alive and everything in between. There is not one single thing that I can point out, because it is all fascinating to me. Fun facts with coach Kyle is fueled by human anatomy and physiology.

What is your favorite post workout meal?

My favorite post workout meal for satiety is all you can eat sushi!!! My favorite post workout meal for performance and recovery is salmon with brussel sprouts and brown rice.

If you could only bring one piece of workout equipment to a deserted island, what would it be?

A rugby ball.
